Reid Harbor 2024

Reid Harbor 2024

Dive report from Reid Harbor Rendezvous. Todd Osborne has organized this fun event for about 20 years. We now know some pretty wonderful dive sites and Todd has the currents so well figured out that we had next to zero current for three dives and slight current (easily swim against it) for one. This year we had four divers, Todd, David Hansen, Pieter Booth and me. We also had additional family and friends hanging with us at the State Park dock.

The first and last dive were at John’s Island. This site has huge boulders (as big a some houses) that creates swim-throughs and wonderful habitat. Another dive was at the infamous Turn Point wall. This wall extends about 400 feet nearly straight down so buoyancy control is vital. It is also swept by current every day and as such has lots of critters, plus critters on top of those critters. The third dive site was Battleship Island, over close to Roche Harbor. It has great structure of rocky shelves and bull kelp. These photos are from across the various sites.

Again, thank you to Todd Osborne for organizing this great event and to everybody who came out and made it such a fabulous time.
