February Meeting: Dues Increase Vote Passes

February Meeting: Dues Increase Vote Passes

UPDATE: Dues Increase Passes

The dues increase was unanimously approved at the February meeting. New pricing is retirees: $10/year, all others $30/year. The increase will become effective as soon as I can update our systems, probably around April 1st.

Community Memberships Converting to Associates

In order to conform to Boeing Recreation policy, we are eliminating our Community Member level. Community Members did not have to meet the requirements for Boeing persons, but had limited benefits. Existing Community Members will be converted to Associate members (which are full members) and their memberships extended until 1 year after the conversion.

If you have any questions, email president@seahorsediveclub.com.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – DUES INCREASE VOTE
We will be voting to increase club membership dues $5 per year, for all membership categories. Standard and Associate memberships will increase to $30/year, while Senior members will increase to $10/year.
The vote will be held in-person during the meeting, and only current members in good standing as of noon Wednesday, February 25th, will be eligible to vote. Make sure your membership hasn’t expired.

SeaHorse Movie Night

Our movie night will begin with a little irreverent education from True Facts. For those who haven’t seen a True Facts video, they’re packed with jokes, innuendo and real actual science (from real Ph.D. researchers).

Our feature presentation is Sea Hunt”: Season 1 Ep. 1, “Sixty Feet Below” (1958)

A lot of us old people first became fascinated by diving, from watching reruns of Sea Hunt. In this, the first episode, “Racing against time, Mike Nelson attempts a risky rescue of a test pilot trapped in his plane’s cockpit 60 feet below the ocean’s surface.”

We Hope to See You There!

As always, all are welcome at our meetings, so feel free to bring your friends and family. So come on out and catch up with your old friends, and meet some new ones.
