Wine Dive Rescheduled to September 6th

We all love diving for being immersed in nature, and sometimes Nature says, "Nope. Not today." That was the case Thursday, August 24th, when the SeaHorses tried to hold their annual Wine Dive at Edmonds Underwater Park. Winds of 12 knots out of the NW, right into the bay, created heavy chop and churned up the bottom so that there was zero visibility in the shallow water where the wine bottles would be placed, making finding them again unlikely. The dive has been rescheduled to Wednesday, September 6th.

Dive Report: Redondo, 06/01/2023

Ed Gullekson was my tour guide for a great pair of dives at Redondo on Thursday morning, June 1st for my return to cold water diving after more than 2 years. This day checked all the boxes for a special day diving in the northwest: great weather, excellent dive buddy and shore support, nearly all the creatures you look for plus some treats like the horned nudi and the unusual sight of a sculpin eating a smaller sculpin, and tremendous visibility, especially for a dive in late spring. You can bet it won't be years before my next cold water outing.
