Club members can earn an air card for 5 fills from a local dive shop for leading club dives. Leading just one dive will pay for your yearly membership dues. Each member is limited to two 5-fill air cards per year (10 total fills).

The rules are pretty simple. Follow the steps below to lead a dive and earn your air card.

The dive must be announced on the club calendar at least 4 full days in advance. So if you dive on Saturday, the calendar event must be published no later than Monday night.

Push the button to go to the form for requesting your dive be posted to the calendar.

A dive report must be submitted for publication on the website no later than 4 days after the dive. For your Saturday dive, you need to submit your report by midnight Wednesday.

Push the button to go to the form for publishing your dive report on the club website.

Request your card. Send an email to air@seahorsediveclub.com and let them know you’ve successfully met the requirements. Include the dive date, dive site, and member participants. They will verify everything is complete and get back to you.

Sorry, no form for this (yet). Just send an email to to air@seahorsediveclub.com.

Things to consider…

Leave plenty of time for the admin to PUBLISH your announcement! This is a manual process and it isn’t instantaneous. It might take a day or two for the announcement request to be completed and your dive to make it onto the calendar. Check with admin@seahorsediveclub.com if you don’t see your dive on the calendar.

Don’t count on the calendar announcement to generate interest. You’ll probably need to do some recruiting. Contact your member friends and use our other channels: you can post to our SeaHorse Dive Club Facebook group, or on the site you can make a post on the Local Diving group.

You must include participants names in your dive report. To qualify for your card, you must include the member participants (at least 4 including yourself) in your dive report.

Don’t miss the reporting deadline. Four days after your dive, you need to have submitted your dive report. It doesn’t need to be a masterpiece, just say who went diving with you and how it went. What did you see? How were the conditions? Did anything weird/scary/funny happen? The form makes it easy.

Now get out there and lead some dives!
