May Meeting Speaker Change

Sharks of Washington

Thursday, May 28, 6 PM
Bob’s Burgers, Everett

Our scheduled speaker, Lisa Hillier, is unable to attend, but she arranged for her colleague and fellow researcher, Bob Pacunski to come out and talk to us about sharks.

From Bob’s LinkedIn ‘About’ info…

I am a Research Scientist and Senior Research Diver with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. I lead a small group of motivated scientists and technicians tasked with conducting population and habitat surveys of Puget Sound groundfish. My research focuses on the population biology, ecology, and distribution of rockfish, lingcod and unique marine fish in Puget Sound. I have over 30 years of experience working in the field using scuba diving, otter trawls, drop-cameras and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), and serve as the ROV program manager for my agency. I have over 2,000 hours piloting small ROVs in demanding marine environments and have conducted over 2,100 scientific SCUBA dives in Puget Sound. I have over 10,000 hours of on-water experience on vessels ranging in size from 14 to 350 feet.

So all of you shark fans, come on out, and all you Puget Sound rockfish and lingcod and cool underwater tech enthusiasts, come on out and take advantage of your opportunity to talk to an expert.

Hope to see you there!

As always, everybody is welcome. So bring your family and/or friends and come out for a fun and educational evening with the SeaHorses.
