March Club Meeting Report

March Club Meeting Report

Thursday, March 27th, 19 SeaHorses and friends gathered at Billy McHale’s in Federal Way to spend some time with Steve Zedekar, , award winning photographer and longtime local diver, for an evening of fun and stories (some of them featuring prominent club members) and beautiful photography.

In the calendar notice, his friend, and club Exec Board member Rocky Gamble described him this way: Steve is a Professional Photographer (https://www.stevezedekar.com/) , REEF contributor, longtime local diver, worldwide diver, local boater and all around goof ball – in a good way.

And that description was spot on. Steve shared with us how he was introduced to diving, his extensive career, some corny jokes, more than a few at Rocky’s expense (Rocky couldn’t attend due to work but I don’t think that would have mattered at all) and many of his beautiful photographs.

You can check out his photography and learn and learn more about him at his website, https://www.stevezedekar.com/

It was a fun gathering. Many thanks to Steve, for journeying all the way from his home in Battle Ground to be with us (it’s really far, look it up), and to our hosts, Billy McHale’s for a great venue, hearty food, and fantastic service.

Upcoming Meetings

We hope to see you at our next meeting on April 24th, at Angelo’s Pizza in Burien. It’s another session of WTF (What’s That Fish) Ed Gullekson. Our last indoor meeting before we head outdoors for the summer will be May 29th, (venue TBD) for Diving in the Philippines with our own Pieter Booth, and special guest Marty Snyderman.

See you all soon!
